EPIQ IV (2017 - Present)

EPIQ establishes a national system for ongoing evidence-based quality improvement through the use of local and national benchmarked data to identify practices associated with outcome differences for targeted change. As well as local sentinel event review of targeted morbidities, completion of Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, and comparative effectiveness studies.

Building upon the successful model of EPIQ III, EPIQ IV extends the application of its methods to maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics care practices. Presently, EPIQ encompasses 30+ Canadian NICU sites, with participation from 28 maternal-fetal/obstetrical units. Notably, EPIQ is gaining international interest, reflecting its growing impact!
